First swimming pool
I found the cutest kiddy pool for Kaleia at Walgreens of all places so the first day it hit 90 degrees I quickly got it out. She absolutely loved it!! She was in there for two hours just playing. She can't quite sit by herself so we brought out the bumbo to help her out.
Mothers Day
For Mothers Day I took pictures of Kaleia for my mom. My mom is Omi to Kaleia meaning grandma in German. So I did three pictures: O-M-I. Braden and I took a few with Kaleia. Here is the finals. :-)
I was also spoiled by my dear husband. A big bouquet of flowers, breakfast, and a surprise massage. Fantastic first mothers day!!

Memorial Day
For Memorial Weekend this year we attended the Warriors on the Wasatch Air Show at Hill Air Force Base. It was a lot of fun. It really makes you feel so proud of our country when you listen to patriotic music and watch jets fly and maneuver around you. However, we did forget how loud they can be. Kaleia at first cried but after she fell asleep and we were able to cover her ears and protect her from the loud jets. On Memorial Day we ventured up to Logan to see my Omi and Opi's grave as well as my uncle Mikel's grave. Afterwards we had a BBQ with the family at my Aunt Sylvie's house. It was a great weekend spent with the people I love.

More Raiders
Kaleia has some more Raider attire she needs to wear before she gets too big. I thought since the Raiders didn't make it to the playoffs what better game to wear silver and black than for the 49ers game. She is going to be Daddy's little Raider.
Back to work
Due to a shortage at work I had to return two weeks early from my maternity leave. Luckily, my work allows you to bring your newborn baby to work up until they are three months old. Some of the things I do to keep Kaleia entertained include carrying her around in her baby carrier, tummy time on my desk, and lots of naps. Here are pictures of our long and exhausting first week.

One Month Old
I cannot believe it has already been a month. Where has the time gone?? I love spending every day with my daughter. I love her so much and don't even know what I did without her. We can't wait until Braden gets back so we can be a family again. One month down many, many more to come.
Utah Utes
For the Utes Bowl game we had to bring out Kaleia's red. Aunt Brittney even painted her toenails red. Braden loved watching the game with his little girl even though she slept for most of it.
Goodbyes & Hellos
Braden has been stationed in Ft. Bliss, TX since October so a week after Kaleia was born he had to head back and then was able to come home for Christmas. We are still waiting to here when he gets to come home for good.
Sleepy New Parents
With a new baby comes lack of sleep. Luckily Braden was home for the first week so we both could get some much needed naps.
She is here
Kaleia Wayment arrived on 12/09/2011 at 12:36 pm. She weighed 9 lbs 6 oz. And was 22.5" long.
We had the pleasure of having my sister Brittney there for the birth to take pictures. I am so glad she was able be there and capture the whole thing in pictures.
