Welcome Home Mom & Dad

After we got home from dinner tonight Justin and Danny wanted to make Mom and Dad a Welcome Home sign and hang it for them to see when they got home. Here is our sign that we made. It turned out pretty good huh? The boys are way excited for them to come home. They tried so hard to stay up until they got home but unfortantly they feel asleep. Mom and Dad's plan got a little delayed so instead of the original arrival time of 11:52 PM they will be arriving around 12:49 AM. So long night for me waiting up. But it will be well worth it to get the parents home. But all in all..............WELCOME HOME MOM & DAD!!

Last Dinner

Tonight Mom and Dad get back so Braden and I wanted to treat the boys for being so good while the Parents were away. We took them to the Nickelcade then out to dinner at Iggys. We had such a good time. These boys are amazing. Braden was really glad that he got to spend as much time with them as he did. He said that they have bonded over the past week. Braden said that it made him feel really good to treat the boys to this special night. Thank you boys for being so good. We love you so much. Here are some pictures of us at Iggys.

We even got dessert!!

Danny's Basketball Game

Tonight we went to Danny's Basketball Game, and he did AWESOME. He got 2 steals and was a great guard. The game was a pretty tight game but sadly in the end they lost, 10-9. Danny you are getting so good at your basketball skills. Keep practicing and you will be unstopable.

Here are some hightlights of the game. He made a lot of good throws and was a great blocker. Way to go!

Justin and Stryder

Today Justin got to spend the day with his really good friend Stryder. They road the bus home from school together then Stryder's Mom picked them up and they went to eat lunch at Carl's Jr. Justin said they played Mario Cart all day and had a good time. Thank you Stryder for letting Justin come over to play.

Piece of Lead

We were all getting into the car to take Danny to scouts today and he kneeled on a pencil. We really didn't think it was too bad cause he wasn't crying or anything but to be safe we pulled over and turned on the light. There was a piece of lead stuck into his knee!! We turned around and rushed home to pull it out with tweezers. These are pictures of Danny trying to dig it out with Braden being his coach. At one point Braden pulled out a knife to help dig it out. Danny at that point started freaking out. We were just concerned about lead poisoning so we were in a panic to get it out.

Here is a picture of the piece of lead when Danny finally got it out of his leg.... It was a pretty big piece. Afterwards Danny washed it and got it to bleed then we bandaged him up.Look at the big hole!! He is a pretty tough kid. Danny I'm so glad you were so brave.

Some of the things we've done while the parents are away.

Here are some of the things I've done with the kids this weekend. Saturday we went bowling at Fat Cats. We invited Josh and Brittney to join us. It turned out to be a pretty fun afternoon. This is Justin showing us his bowling skills. He is pretty good.

Danny showing us his "striking" skills.

This is Britt after about her 10th strike of the night. She did so well she beat us all!!

Josh was in the middle of WHAT?! He didn't understand why Britt was doing so well...

After our game of bowling we played some of the arcades. Justin loved ski ball. That was where he spent most of his tokens.

Danny spent a lot of his tokens playing games with Josh. Josh is such a great big brother to play with the little ones.

Thank you Britt and Josh for spending the afternoon with us. We had a blast.

Parents are out of town!!

My parents left for Cancun on Friday, January 16th and they won't be back until Saturday, January 24th. So in the mean time I get to play mom for these two wild ones.
So far things have gone pretty good. They really are the sweetest kids. And I sure do love them!!
